Miriam joined the Cooper Group as a Project Manager in 2022. After completing her undergraduate MChem degree at University of Edinburgh, Miriam then obtained a PhD degree in Chemistry from the University of Manchester in 2015. She then moved to the University of Bristol where she held a Novo Nordisk STAR Fellowship, then an EPSRC Impact Acceleration Award to work on synthetic lectins with University of Bristol start up Ziylo. Following the acquisition of Ziylo, Miriam moved to Carbometrics as a senior scientist where she worked on commercialising synthetic lectins as continuous glucose monitors. Following this period working in a start-up atmosphere at Ziylo and Carbometrics, Miriam joined Spin Up Science, where she supported researchers to translate their ideas out of the laboratory.
