Michael joined the Cooper Group in January 2024 as part of his 3^rd-year research project for his MChem degree at the University of Liverpool. Based in the Materials Innovation Factory, Michael’s project addresses automation methods for polymer characterization, where he is looking to automate the process by which new bio-renewable polymers are discovered.

During his time at university, Michael has become a dedicated outreach ambassador and science communicator, where he shares his love for chemistry with students and families of all ages. Outside of university, Michael can be found volunteering across his home city of Liverpool, playing video games, or enjoying new foods and drinks.
