Through this workshop, Dr Naomi Tyrrell, Managing Director of Research Your Way Ltd and an ICF Certified Career and Impact Coach, will help you explore the mindset, research skills, networking, and academic and alternative career opportunities available to you. Dr Tyrrell has had a very successful academic career and is now providing research, evaluation, knowledge exchange, training and coaching services to charities, social purpose organisations and universities. Over lunch, you will have the opportunity to get top tips from her own experience and others’ successful stories, reflect on your own career options, set goals, and get ready to rock your career!

In Focus is a series of workshops especially designed for PGRs aiming at providing insights, guidance, and support with key aspects of your graduate studies in the School of the Arts.
It was introduced in direct response to student feedback and is an opportunity to share information and guidance while operating as an open forum for discussion and collaboration among the School’s PGR community, thus enhancing the Schools research culture. In Focus: How to Rock your Career! responds to student feedback provided through the Development Need Analysis (DNA) process and SSLC and PGR Committee meetings.
