Professor of Bioarchaeology Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology

    Teaching

I am currently module organiser for three undergraduate and one masters level modules which mainly reflect my research interests. My teaching aim is to present human osteology, funerary archaeology and dietary analysis as a powerful tool in the construction of the archaeological record and to encourage students to think about bioarchaeology alongside other forms of evidence rather than in isolation.
I believe that practical skills should be taught at the practical level and therefore, any practical course I teach always incorporate a strong practical component even at 1st year undergraduate level.
