Magical Mystery Tour of Liverpool

As Liverpool's tourist economy started to reopen towards summer 2021, this special panel event took guests on a journey of The Beatles' legacy and economic impact on tourism in the city. Hosted by Beatles expert and Senior Lecturer, Dr Mike Jones, the special event featured alumni guests, co-owner of the Cavern Club and the Magical Mystery Tour, Bill Heckle; music promoter, author and custodian of John Lennon's Liverpool home, Colin Hall; and Sales Manager at the Hard Days Night hotel, the world’s only Beatles inspired hotel, Janet Morris.

This event was part of the University of Liverpool's Open House Series.

At a time when the arts in the UK are starting to emerge from the financial impact of the pandemic, support for our venues, artists and performers has never been more vital. With less than £154,000 left to raise for the University's new teaching and performance facility, the Yoko Ono Lennon Centre, against the £3 million target, we are ever closer to reaching this goal. Please consider supporting the Yoko Ono Lennon Centre - any gift regardless of size is very much appreciated. If you have already given to the campaign, thank you for your support.
