Tell me a little about your position and what you do on a day-to-day basis
I am working on our department communication channels from newsletters to our website to inform our staff and students our available services.

Tell me a bit more about how your team support you
All of my colleagues are enthusiastic and accepting towards new members - everyone did their part to welcome me virtually. Everyone chatted to me and arranged a call the first day to meet and get to know each other. In the first week they planned a quiz for the whole team and some questions were related to the new people that got hired at that time. My team is highly motivated and empathetic. Together we are daily looking at how to evolve our working relationships to contribute towards the department and university values.
What motivates you within your role?
My manager. She is supporting me all the way, always telling how insightful my work is. She most of the time predicts my needs before I get to express them. She is next to me from day one and a big part of why I feel so valued in such a short amount of time. Her team and leadership skills are exceptional and I could not ask for a better person to work with daily.
What advice would you give someone who is seeking the same line of work?
To seek an opportunity to join Liverpool University. My department is innovating in their area, setting the example with new perspectives on student engagement. Since the start I have learnt so much on student engagement with the top management suggesting courses with leading companies for their employees to stay informed and on top of their game.
Where do you hope to go with this job, or in your career in general?
I am hoping to stay where I am. I have so many things to learn and evolve in my role and my department. University communications and digital marketing is my field of choice and I feel that I am in the right place to work on my expertise and further evolve.
