Exchanges to the University of Liverpool
If you are planning to apply to study at the University of Liverpool for a year or a semester, through an exchange programme, please view our Information for International Students.
The University of Liverpool is committed to providing a high level of support to students from exchange partners or those studying with us as Visiting Study Abroad Students.
Letting Us Know That You Have Support Requirements
You will be able to indicate on your application form if you require support, due to a disability, Specific Learning Difficulty (e.g. Dyslexia), or a long term medical condition. The Study Abroad Team and Disability Advice and Guidance will contact you as soon as we receive your application to discuss these needs. It will help make the process quicker and smoother if you have support plans from your Home University available, as well as a named Disability or Support Officer who we can communicate with.
What Services Are Available?
The services available via Disability Advice and Guidance will depend on your support requirements and should be discussed with the team prior to your arrival. Examples of support that may be available are:
- Adapted rooms in Halls of Residence
- Arrangements for examinations, e.g. extra time or a private room
- Liaising with academic departments to ensure that all teaching is in accessible locations
It’s important to be aware that the types of services available may differ from your Home University and, where services from third party agencies are required; these may incur additional costs that you will need to meet. Students coming from Erasmus+ partners are encouraged to contact their Erasmus+ National Agency to discuss additional financial support.
