Movember 2022

We are proud to announce that Sport Liverpool will be supporting the Movember campaign for another year.

What is Movember?

Movember are the leading charity changing the face of men’s health, by taking on 3 of the biggest health issues facing men: mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men.

How can you get involved?

Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends are facing a health crisis, yet it’s rarely talked about. Men are dying too young. We can’t afford to stay silent. With your support, we can help save a Bro.

Sport Liverpool has supported the Movember initiative for more than 5 years, with each year becoming more successful. In 2022 we raised an impressive £52,000 through our Athletic Union clubs, had students competing in daily half marathons, events such as 24 hour row-athons and of course the infamous moustache growing.

Anyone can get involved! Our Mo-Sistas have plenty of ways to support the Bro's in your life, check them out and get creative this November.

Move for Movember

Run or walk 60km over the month. That’s 60km for the 60 men we lose to suicide each hour, every hour across the world.

Host a Mo-ment

Rally a crew and do something fun and easy. Hosting is all about having a good time for a good cause!

Grow a Mo

Patchy, lopsided, itchy or epic – whatever Mo you grow this Movember, your face will raise funds and awareness for men’s health.

Mo your own way

Whether it’s a gruelling test of physical endurance or some other wildcard idea. Whether it’s a day or over the course of November take whatever Mo Your Own Way means to you and run with it.
