About

Personal Statement

I joined the University of Liverpool in October 2016, after having completed my PhD in Social Change at the University of Manchester and having spent two and a half years on a research fellowship at the Queen's University Belfast. My research interests are in the areas of poverty and life-course inequalities and their effects on healthy ageing, and the sociology of social attitudes and religion. In terms of social research methods, my teaching and research is mainly quantitative and applies statistical analysis techniques to large-scale population data, such as surveys and Census-linked studies. I am happy to supervise students interested in working in these areas.
