Current research interests
My expertise is in the analysis of secondary and administrative data with which to study contentious issues of alcohol, crime and justice. To date my work has mainly focused on alcohol-related violence; the relationship between the two and the processing of such cases through the criminal justice system. Although I have also examined other forms of violence, including Modern Slavery and online hate, and the sentencing of those involved in the 2011 English 'riots'.
