My name is Jose and I'm Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria University.
I qualified in 2004, and in 2006 I started a position as an Official Vet for the Spanish Administration.  Since then, I've worked as an Official Veterinarian in the field of Border Inspections Controls.
I finished a Masters Degree in Nutrition in 2016 and from that experience I developed a great interest in Epidemiology and Biostatistics.  The next step for me was to start a PhD project related to Tumors Epidemiology in dogs and cats.
In 2018 I received an Erasmus scholarship to spend a few moths at a University abroad and I was lucky enough to be accepted at the University of Liverpool to join the SAVSNET team working with data on tumours in companion animals.
I'm here in Leahurst Campus learning as much as I can from this amazing Institution.
