- How writing for a policy audience differs from academic writing
- Identifying your policy audience
- How to use a limited word count effectively
- How to craft ‘key messages’
- How to use your policy briefing after publication

Facilitators: Dr Tom Arnold is a Research Associate at the Heseltine Institute for Public Policy, Practice and Place. He is the editor of the Heseltine Institute’s policy briefing series and has worked with national, regional and local government on a range of policy issues. Prior to entering academia, Tom worked for almost a decade in public affairs, representing clients in the housing and infrastructure sectors.
