Teaching

Dr Hossain is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA):
He has achieved professional recognition as an Associate Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. He also completed the Graduate Professional Development (GPROF) programme as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Action Plan. This professional recognition by the Higher Education Academy are both nationally and internationally recognised as standards of excellence in teaching and support in higher education.
Dr Hossain's teaching experience started when he was an undergraduate student at the University of Rajshahi. However, he held several more voluntary teaching positions as part of his doctoral research training.
Whilst a PhD student, he had a voluntary teaching assistant position for more than two years at the University of Portsmouth (UoP) teaching ‘Introduction to Evidence-Based Practice' module unit, Level 4, with his PhD supervisor and course co-ordinator.
Also, he taught MSc 2nd year student for Literature Review and Systematic Review sessions and ran several workshop sessions at the graduate school of UoP, where he delivered lectures on how to conduct a systematic review of qualitative synthesis and had a large audience.
Dr Hossain also had another teaching assistant position at the learning centre of Portsmouth City Council and worked there for two years where he taught English as a foreign language.
