Psychology's Dr Warren Donnellan will speak at a panel discussion following a performance of The Nature of Forgetting at Chester's Storyhouse Theatre on Tuesday 5 March.

The Nature of Forgetting is a powerful piece exploring what is left when memory is gone. Tom is living with young onset dementia. We meet him as he prepares for his 55th birthday party and past memories come flooding back.

Across the tour, the company will be offering a series of post-show talks at each performance venue, in association with specialist psychologists such as Dr Donnellan, alongside medical researchers for Dementia and Alzheimer's as well as Admiral Nurses from Dementia UK.

Audiences will hear first-hand the development process for the show and experience an insight into the cognitive map of memory.

Speaking about taking part in the post-show talk, Dr Donnellan said: "I'm honoured to have been invited to speak at the upcoming performance of The Nature of Forgetting at the Chester Storyhouse.

"I've always loved theatre and believe that performing arts can address complex human psychology in a way that traditional academia cannot.

"I know a great deal of research went into the show's development, and I'm excited to discuss this with the audience after the show."
