Research grant received by Professor Dongping Song
Congratulations to Professor Dongping Song, from the Operations and Supply Chain Management subject group and the Centre for Supply Chain Research, who has successfully obtained a research grant funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).
The amount granted by the ESRC is £278,104, which will facilitate Dongping to recruit a Research Associate and conduct research on Combined passenger and goods transportation in suburb traffic using modular vehicles.
The project will be coordinated by Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden and the Management School will act as the lead UK research partner in the consortium that consists of several European partners.
This project proposes a multimodal transport system, comprised of electric modular vehicles and electric active micro mobility, to serve both passengers and goods in an integrated approach. The project is planned to start from 1 October 2023 for three years.
