Organised by the Mangement School's Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship, the third Entrepreneurs Monthly Meet-up of the academic year is run in collaboration with Spice Kitchen.
Spice Kitchen is a family-run company that mother and son, Shashi and Sanjay Aggarwal, founded in 2012. Everything the business does is rooted in Shashi’s deep knowledge of spices and Indian Masalas and is born out of Sanjay’s love of cooking with flavours from around the world.
The idea for Spice Kitchen was conceived on Christmas Day, as they both chatted about how nice it would be to create a spice-filled masala dabba for people to gift to their food-loving family and friends.
What started with one Indian Spice Tin, packed with essential Indian spices, has grown into a beautiful range of careful blends inspired by vibrant dishes from all over the world.
Sanjay will be speaking about his background, starting-up and running the business as its Chief Spice Officer. Sanjay will be providing invaluable insights for anyone looking to create and sell new products online - as well as exporting products to new markets such as the USA.
Anyone attending can enter a FREE prize draw with 5 lucky winners receiving one of the company’s Spice Tins!
There will be lots of informal networking with FREE refreshments and food cooked by The South Indian all set in the beautiful surroundings of the co-working space Clockwise Liverpool in the Edward Pavilion, on the Albert Dock.
There will also be a further 6 secondary school students from Year 10 at King’s Leadership Academy Hawthornes who will be pitching for start-up funding as part of a Start-up School initiative that the Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship is running.
