Taking ‘toilet humour’ to a whole new level…
Forget ‘the flegs’ and ‘power sharing’ – it’s all about ‘pipe sharing’ in Wesley Burrowes’ comedy play Affluence. The show take place in The Waterside Theatre on Tuesday 30th July 2019, for one night only!
Set on DuckIsland, in Strangford Lough, Affluence is a laugh a minute comedy which follows two communities as they bicker over the allocation of sewer pipes for their brand-new flush toilets. The disagreement escalates into full-out conflict and then a man from ‘The Main Land’ arrives to sort the problem!
Director/ producer Mr Sean Faloon has celebrated a long theatrical career spanning over 30 years. His portrayal of the Northern Ireland psyche is genius. Although Affluence was written 23 years ago, the laughs and the script are still as fresh as ever as it mirrors many issues which still exist in our communities today.
