Dr Chris French BSc PhD CEnv MAPM

Personal Statement

Currently Head of Operations for the Institute of Life and Human Sciences (ILHS), a role he started in 2016, Chris will soon take on the role of Head of Technical Infrastructure and Support in the new Faculty of Health and Life Sciences Infrastructure and Environment Directorate.
In his current role Chris is responsible for managing the integration of different departments to develop research and teaching excellence. He has worked at the University since 2013 with his roles helping develop operational and strategic skills across education and research, including large-scale research bids and centres, through to student initiatives in employability and curriculum development.
Prior to joining the university, Chris spent 10 years as a principal consultant managing infrastructure and scientific projects for consultancies in the UK and overseas. He is a Liverpool graduate, having completed his PhD and PostDoc positions in the city.
