Royal Academy of Engineering – UK intelligence community postdoctoral research fellowships
These support the promotion of unclassified basic research in areas of interest to the intelligence, security and defence community working in partnership with university research advisors and collaborating with advisors from the intelligence community, and must address one of the selected research topics. Royal Society – Research Professorship
Royal Society Research Professorships provide long term support to world-class researchers of outstanding achievement for those who are currently prevented from achieving full research capability by competing duties (i.e. already based in the UK) or those who wish to relocate to the UK to undertake their research. Royal Society – University Research Fellowships
This covers all fields of natural sciences, including biological research, chemistry, engineering, mathematics and physics, but excludes clinical medicine. Applicants must have 3 to 8 years postdoctoral experience. Funder closing date: 10 Sep 24. This call is repeated once a year. Duration: 8 years (years 6-8 funding subject to satisfactory progress). Horizon Europe – Marie Sklodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships
These are aimed at researchers who wish to carry out their research activities abroad. Applicants must have a maximum of 8 years’ experience since their PhD and comply with mobility rules. Funder closing date: 11 Sep 24. Duration: European Postdoctoral Fellowships 1-2 years, Global Postdoctoral Fellowships 2-3 years. Funding: Living allowance, mobility allowance and if needed family, long-term leave and special needs allowances. Leverhulme Trust – Early Career Fellowships
Applications will be considered in all subject areas (with a few exceptions). Applicants must within 4 years of their PhD or have equivalent research experience.
