Student Profiles

We asked our students their plans for graduation and the future, please see some of the responses below;

Amy Mulholland

What are you graduating in?
Sociology and Politics BA (Hons)

How will you be celebrating your graduation day?
I plan to spend my graduation day with my family and celebrate with a cold glass of champagne, or a few!

How do you feel about being awarded a prize on your outstanding performance and contribution throughout your studies?
I was surprised at first and flattered to have been recognised. I have been SSPC Society President through two very challenging years and it has not been easy at all. However, I could not have run the society without the help of the committee and members over the last few years. The committee in particular put so much work in and I am proud of what we achieved together.

Can you share a highlight of your time at University or a quote about your time with us here?
Liverpool will always hold a special place in my heart for a variety of reasons but, we are covid grads. Our university experience isn't something any of us expected, to go from enjoying our first year, making new friends, enjoying new experiences to be put in lockdown overnight was... an adjustment. There were lots of lows, but there were also lots of highs. Zoom quizzes may have replaced nights on Concert Square but we made the most of every second. And, when things did start to go back to 'normal' this year- we enjoyed everything just that little bit more. As a cohort we have overcome so many challenges and achieved so much. I will always be proud to be a 2022 Grad.

What are you next steps and plans for the future?
I am lucky enough to have been offered a place on a Graduate Management Scheme which I will start in September!
