Dr. Vinogradov talks about Silicon Photomultiplier Technology in Moscow, Russia

Within the EU-funded SiPM in-depth QUASAR Dr. Sergey Vinogradov has visited his colleagues on research and development of SiPM in Moscow, Russia, in December 2013.

He gave an invited talk about the Challenges of SiPM application for beam loss monitoring with Cherenkov light detection on 18th December 2013 as part of the International Workshop on SiPM applications, held at the National Research Nuclear University to present and discuss the current activities in the QUASAR Group in evaluating SiPM applicability to Beam Loss Monitoring. These discussions were found to be very fruitful and mutually valuable and have good potential for future collaboration.

Dr. Vinogradov also gave an invited talk about State of the art in SiPM development and application on 20th December at the P.N. Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences where he summarized the latest news and trends in this rapidly emerging technology, freshly gathered during his participation at the IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium, Seoul, Korea, October 27th - November 2nd, 2013.
