My research interests focus on understanding determinants of food intake from a psychological perspective. This includes investigating cognitive, social and biological processes involved in appetite control and eating behaviour.

I have specific interests within the following areas:
- Links between food insecurity and physical activity.
- The effect of alcohol consumption on eating behaviours (focusing on reward and cognitive-based factors).
- The effect of labels used to describe addictive behaviours on stigma.
