Dr Robert Strachan PhD, MA, BA

Rob is a lecturer in the School of Music. He holds an MA (distinction) and Ph.D. from the University of Liverpool. Rob?s published work to date has been concerned with DIY music scenes, the mediation of music through such channels as documentary film, music video and music biography, and the music industry. He is a contributor and co-editor to the forthcoming book The Beat Goes On: Liverpool, Popular Music and the Changing City (forthcoming: Liverpool University Press). He is commissioning editor of the journal Popular Music History which is published by Equinox.
