    Personal Statement

    Kudzai Dominic Chiwenga is a Postdoctoral Research Associate working across the Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) group to support the development and submission of research grants. Dominic's main role is to support research proposal development, writing, reviewing and submitting for various funding bodies e.g. UKRI-ESRC, EPSRC, GCRF, Innovate UK, British Academy, Newton Fund etc. Dominic also works on facilitating interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research consortia building across the University of Liverpool and the wider academic community. This includes engagement with industry for both research and knowledge exchange partnerships' bids.

    Dominic holds a PhD in Operations and Information Management from the University of Bradford. He is the Winner of the Dean’s Prize for Innovation and Impact in Doctoral Research. In addition he holds an MS Business Administration, Pg-Dip in Research Methods and BS Hons Agriculture and Land Management from University of West England. He also has an HND in Agribusiness Management.

    Dominic has an extensive background working in production and operational management roles within the Agri-Food industry, he was a Production Manager in a FTSE 250 food manufacturing company. His current research interests focus on, Supply Chain Risk and Resilience with a particular interest in Food Systems, Sustainable Operations Management, Industry 4.0, Circular Economy and Humanitarian Operations.
