Mr Azmi Ozunlu FRM, CFA

Personal Statement

Azmi is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at University of Liverpool, where he is the also the Director of Studies for the MSc in Finance and Investment Management programme. His research interests include risk management, quantitative finance, financial regulation and event studies. He has previously worked for Fitch Learning (formerly 7city), where he has led graduate, intern and associate training programmes for first tier asset managers and investment banks. Before that, Azmi was country manager for Turkey at Consulco Ltd, a Cyprus-based wealth management and tax advisory firm and was responsible for business development and relationship management.
Azmi is a CFA Charterholder and also holds the FRM (Financial Risk Manager) designation. He has postgraduate degrees in business and financial economics and a BA in Economics from Davidson College, where he studied as a Fulbright Scholar.
