BCfE hosts final Seminar Series of this academic year

The Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship held its third seminar on Wednesday 12 July as part of their Seminar Series: "Contextualizing Entrepreneurship – Taking stock, exploring new directions".

The keynote speaker of the event was Professor Friederike Welter from the Institut für Mittelstandsforschung, Bonn and University of Siegen, School of Economic Disciplines who presented at the seminar.

Professor Welter drew upon her wealth of knowledge, experience and photography to tackle the subject in an expansive and engaging way pointing out the significance of contexts in understanding entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial behaviour.

This stimulated a lively discussion and series of questions from attendees spanning a wide range of topics.

Professor Welter also shared her thoughts on the theme of the decolonization of entrepreneurship and discussed how we need to go beyond the search for generalisations.

A huge thank you goes out to those attending and contributing to the discussions. This was the final Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship seminar for this academic year and we look forward to inviting you to the series in the forthcoming year.
