The FIMBA cohort recently welcomed Peter Moore, CEO of Liverpool Football Club, for a guest speaker session.

During the talk Peter spoke about the business of sports, particularly focusing on the modern structure of football and how it has evolved over the years.  He also gave insight into his background and spoke about what it was like working for some of the world most globally recognised brands including Microsoft and EA Sports.

On the same day, the cohort also heard from David Dein, former Vice Chairman of Arsenal and former Chairman of the Football Association.  He gave students a review of the 2017/18 season and also spoke about his role in the formation of the Premier League in 1992.  David was also joined by Rick Parry, former Chief Executive of Liverpool FC, who also played a part in developing the Premier League.

Andre Prates Correia, FIMBA student, commented “I enjoyed finding out more about Liverpool’s values, mission and future plans from Peter Moore.  The afternoon session with David Dein and Rick Parry was also very interesting as it was great to hear first-hand about the roots of English football from two people who played an important role in the formation of the Premier League.”
