Personal Statement

John is the Research and Impact Team Leader and is responsible for the management, development, and implementation of all research-related financial procedures and processes to support the Head of School Operations in the provision of accurate research-related financial monitoring and reporting. John develops and maintains an in-depth working knowledge of the activities and research interests and priorities within the School and of the relevant research funding bodies and their requirements including costing methodologies e.g. Full Economic Costing (fEC). John acts as a significant point of contact for all research and knowledge exchange administration matters within the School and as an interface between the academic staff of the School, the Research and Impact Team, Faculty Research and Knowledge Exchange Team, and centrally-located Professional Services departments on all matters research-related.

John is responsible for sourcing of appropriate funding streams & matching these effectively with academic colleagues' specialisms, working with academic colleagues to develop research applications, including producing accurate financial costings for such research applications. John is the point of contact to liaise with other University departments in support of academic research funding applications and other research-related enquiries.
