Information & Records Management

Improving effectiveness, performance and compliance

Information & Records Management

Information & Records Management provides advice and support to all members of staff on all aspects of record keeping throughout the University, in line with the University's Information Management Policy and the Records Retention Schedule.

There is further information about successfully managing your information on the Information Governance intranet pages. This area contains advice on Information Management, Research Data Management, Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

Information & Records Management oversees the University Records Centre which is used for the storage and retrieval of semi-current administrative records. These are records which are no longer required in the office on a day-to-day basis but which may be needed occasionally or have to be retained for legal or financial reasons.

A confidential waste disposal service is also available for the safe and secure destruction of records.

Information & Records Management only provides services to staff. Any students wishing to make enquiries about their records should contact Student Admin and Support for any records they require.
