Personal Statement

I started my career at The Philip Leverhulme Equine Hospital as a Yard Technician in April 2021. I had Previously worked at Coleg Cambria in the equine Department as a yard technician, this is where I started my apprenticeship in horse care, management and riding (level 3). Also completing my BHS stages up to stage 2 in horse care and riding.
My job at the equine hospital consist of the general day to day care of the horses that are stabled, and our own teaching horses. this includes, mucking out stables, feeding, watering and the cleaning of stables for biosecurity when horses leave the hospital. I also groom and bath horses on a daily basis, for prep before surgery, after surgery and for horses going home. The job also includes trotting up and riding lameness assessments and holding horses in Gamma.
