My current research explores extreme weather events in the UK from c. 1600 to the present day, using information from wide ranging archival sources. As well as compiling a chronology of events in a database format I am exploring the impacts of the events, the human responses to them, and the ways that they were recorded and have subsequently been remembered (or forgotten).
