PhD student accepted at Global Humanitarianism Research Academy

History PhD student, David Grealy, has been accepted for training at the Global Humanitarianism Research Academy.

The GHRA offers research training to PhD candidates working in the fields of humanitarianism, international humanitarian law, peace and conflict studies as well as human rights in the context of international, imperial and global history from the 18th- 20th century. It aims to advance understanding of global governance in humanitarian crises in the present.

The training will include time at the Leibniz Institute of European History in Mainz, Germany and the International Red Cross archives in Geneva. The summer school is a joint initiative between Mainz and the University of Exeter, in co-operation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (Geneva).
