Sustainability Lead - Earth Month

We are celebrating Earth Month with an introduction to the School's Sustainability Lead; Dr Chris Pearson.

I am an environmental and animal historian based in the Department of History. I have researched and taught on a range of topics in these areas, including environmental histories of war, human-canine histories, and climate histories. My most recent book is Dogopolis: How Dogs and Humans Made Modern New York, London, and Paris (University of Chicago Press, 2021), and I am currently co-investigator on a Wellcome Trust funded project on street dogs in India. I am currently on research leave, and am looking forward to working with colleagues in HLC, HSS and across the university to make our activities more sustainable once I return in September 2022.
