Alumni and Friends Fund telephone campaign: And that’s a wrap!
As the year draws to a close so does our final telephone campaign of the year. Our team of enthusiastic student callers have been busy over the past five weeks calling alumni as part of the Alumni and Friends Fund.
Telephone campaigns are fantastic way for us to stay connected with alumni all over the world. They are also an important part of our regular giving programme, which ensures that we can continue to support future generations of students as well as life changing research.
This year we launched the unique opportunity for alumni and supporters to name a seat in the Tung auditorium at the heart of the Teaching and Performance Space. Many of our supporters chose to show their support by leaving their mark in the University. So far, seats have been named by alumni in countries including Singapore, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia and Nigeria.
The dedicated Teaching and Performance Space will house exemplary teaching and learning facilities, state-of-the-art lecture theatres and audio-visual equipment and will ensure that the University will continue to be a top choice for students of all disciplines worldwide. Through the Alumni and Friends Fund we are also continuing to support Scholarships and the Areas of Greatest Need
Our team of callers have been overwhelmed by the kindess and generosity of our alumni community. Fourth year Dentistry student Erin said:
"It is very interesting to hear about different people's experience's at Liverpool. I am very fond of the Unviersity myself and have a fabulous time here, it is a lovely community to be part of. It is espeically lovely hearing about people's time at Univeristy and how it has changed, thank you so much for your generoisty, the giftd you give make a real difference".
We are delighted to announce that we raised more than £23,000 to support our fundraising priorities. We would like to thank everyone to took the time to speak to one of our callers, we know that our students thoroughly enjoy hearing about your experiences.
