Prestigious Wolfson Foundation Intercalated Award for medical student working with EATC4Children

Maria Hanif will soon be joining the EATC4Children team to complete an MRes degree

The Award is administered by the Royal College of Physicians for outstanding undergraduate students at selected Medical Schools, who are likely to pursue a medical research career. Nominations were received and assessed by a panel who took into account the calibre of the student and the merit of the proposed project. These awards enable the students to take a one-year academic degree course intercalated to explore research in their field of interest.

Maria Hanif will take up a Clinical Science MRes under the supervision of Dr Eve Smith. Maria will undertake a project looking at a treat to target approach (TST) for childhood lupus, using data from the UK JSLE Cohort Study. The award will cover the fees for the MRes course.
