Managerial Finance (ULMS767)

Credits: 15 / Semester: semester 1

Managing Finance is designed to develop your expertise in problem solving, numeracy and commercial awareness through a lecture and workshop program that helps you understand, apply and competently practice in accounting and finance. Venture Dynamics: Buying, Building and Selling Enterprises (ULMS549)

Credits: 15 / Semester: semester 1

It introduces students to the skills needed to build up businesses, buy an established business, and sell a business for profit as a feasible exit strategy. It is a practical module where students will work with tools such as the Business Model Canvas to design viable entrepreneurial strategies for organisations at different stages of their life cycle. The module will also get students to reflect on the broader context of making decisions about creating, buying or selling businesses including alignment with their own personal strategies, opportunities for being an entrepreneur within a more corporate setting and particular challenges such as taking over a family business.

Foundations of Innovation Management (ULMS502)

In doing so, it is committed to equip students with a strong conceptual and applied understanding the dynamics of innovation management in contemporary business and organisational environments.
