I have conducted research in different problems of natural language processing such as text summarisation, word embedding learning, relation extraction, semantic/relational similarity measurement, textual entailment, discourse analysis, information retrieval, domain adaptation, argument mining and sentiment classification. I have been involved in various research projects related to data mining such as legal data, medical data, financial data and cooking receipies.

I lead the Data Mining and the Machine Learning (DMML) research group and have authored text books in Deep Learning and Machine Learning for Web Mining.
