Creating an online business teaching English
I’ve always been interested in teaching because both of my parents worked in education, but I fell in love with it when I went to Xinjiang, China, for a year to teach during my gap year. Being out of my depth became a natural feeling and it definitely helped me learn to say ‘yes’ to new, and sometimes scary, challenges.

Collaboration – Organising volunteers for Africa Oye 2019
Looking at the fantastic response to this crisis to many charities across the UK, I noted that many were working collaboratively with local partners and the community. I was reminded of the collaborative experience I had gained when I was hired I was hired to recruit, manage and co-ordinate the volunteers programme for Africa Oye 2019.

I Got Hired: Japanese Language Study with Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation
Jack graduated BSc Hons Evolutionary Anthropology in 2019 and is graduating MRes Palaeoanthropology degree from the University of Liverpool in 2020. He has received an offer to undertake a unique 19-month programme of language study, work placement and homestay in Japan with Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation.
