Molly is using student leadership to make big global issues feel more practical, collective and hopeful. As Co-President of Amnesty International Society, she has helped create a welcoming route into human-rights advocacy, including the Amnesty x Humanities Ball which brought more than 220 students together and raised £1,180. As a Young Climate Warriors Ambassador, she also works with Liverpool primary schools on climate education.

Mohamed’s journey has been shaped by resilience, care and service. He moved to the UK at 17 to join his mother and sister after leaving Sri Lanka, and now balances his Law with Politics degree with caring responsibilities. He is a Liverpool Advocate supporting widening participation, while his previous leadership and community work in Sri Lanka included a blood donation campaign that collected more than 1,000 pints of blood and an eye-care project reaching more than 1,300 people.

Louis is a first-generation university student from Liverpool whose route through education and work has not been straightforward. After leaving university to take a trainee chartered accountant role, he made the difficult decision to return and study Business Management instead. Alongside his degree, he works in children’s residential care and supports other students through mentoring and advocacy.

During his Civil Service placement, Rufus has focused on social mobility, public service and community. He has volunteered with young people who are out of education or work through the Spear programme, helped deliver school outreach about public-sector careers to almost 100 students, and set up a Civil Service Padel Club that has brought colleagues together while raising more than £500 for domestic abuse charity DASH.
