The OPIHAS’ Research Coordinator recognised by the Royal Society of Chemistry as one of the “Emerging Investigators 2016”

Dr. Yuri Diaz Fernandez, Research Coordinator of OPIHAS, has been recognised as one of “rising stars of materials chemistry research”, in the words of the editorial front page of the Royal Society of Chemistry JMCB “Emerging Investigators 2016” Special Collection (Link).This issue gathers the very best work from materials chemists from all over the world, in the early stages of their independent career, with a special focus on novel design strategies for new functional materials.

The prestigious distinction recognises the team work of the Open Innovation Hub for Antimicrobial Surfaces that has been pushing the frontiers of research in the field of imaging complex bio-interfaces and developing disruptive technologies for antimicrobial applications.
