The big move

Earlier this week the QUASAR Group began to move its general purpose lab, where we currently house our gas-jet monitor and the VELO detector set ups, to their new location in the new Cockcroft Institute building.

Our new lab will be significantly larger and close to our offices. It is a multi-purpose lab we share with colleagues from the University of Lancaster, Manchester, Strathclyde and STFC/ASTeC. The new infrastructure will provide us with a better environment to advance our R&D programmes in both, non-invasive beam profile monitoring and medical applications.
