Dr Hao Zhang is a postdoctoral researcher in the Quasar group. He is currently working on non-invasive beam diagnostics based on a supersonic gas jet and also on beam diagnostics for medical accelerators. Recently, the QUASAR group started working in collaboration with CERN and GSI in order to investigate and build a non-invasive beam profile monitor for the HL-LHC.

Mr X is assembling a custom made vacuum enclosure that will allow to measure beam fluorescence and block any other source of light coming from the outside.
