QUASAR Group added FLAIR to SPARC Workshop
A joint SPARC/FLAIR workshop took place in Jena, Germany between 28-31. October 2013. Dr. Oleg Karamyshev was invited to give a talk on the Ultra-Low energy Storage Ring (USR) that was developed by the group during the past five years.
The main topic of the workshop was R&D with stored particles at FAIR – a new international facility that is currently being constructed. The workshop provided a great opportunity for researchers from different areas such accelerator physics, trap experiments and theoretical physics to discuss future research opportunities. The program of the workshop was very intense and included many exciting talks on various topics
