QUASAR contributions to IBIC

Published on

The International Beam Instrumentation Conference (IBIC) is the annual meeting point to discuss the state-of-the-art in beam diagnostics, detector technology and accelerator control systems. This year, this important event took place in Oxford, UK from 16th-20th September.

14 QUASARs participated in the conference, saw an exciting program of talks and posters, and had many discussions with friends from the beam diagnostics community from around the world.

‌Our 14 poster contributions included e.g. work on beam profile measurements using an ultra-cold gas ‌jet, secondary emission monitor, the VELO detector, and a secondary emission monitor for antimatter beams, beam position monitor development for low energy beam facilities and initial results using laser self-mixing for gas jet probing. ‌

Additional highlights were a talk about the LUPIN detector by Giacomo and a stand displaying the achievements of the QUASAR-coordinated EU Projects LA³NET, oPAC and DITANET, run by Helen and Rob.
