QUASAR member represents CERN at Jobwunder Career Fair in Berlin

Earlier this month, QUASAR Monty King represented CERN at the Jobwunder Career Fair in Berlin, one of Germany’s largest career events for students and recent graduates. The fair brought together a diverse group of companies, institutions, and job seekers at the Technical University of Berlin, providing an ideal platform for meaningful career conversations.
Together with Flavia Düsselberg, a HR representative from CERN, Monty hosted a dedicated CERN stand, where they engaged in one-on-one conversations with dozens of students throughout the day. Topics ranged from internship opportunities and student programs to life at CERN and the variety of research projects on offer.

Reflecting on the experience, Monty shared: “It was a great opportunity to connect directly with students who are genuinely excited about CERN and its mission with some students stating they came to the fair just because of CERN’s participation. The time flew by—but I was surprised by how exhausting it can be to talk non-stop for six hours! Still, it was incredibly rewarding to share insights and hopefully inspire the next generation of technicians, engineers and researchers to apply for opportunities at CERN.”
The event marked a valuable outreach opportunity for CERN and the QUASAR Group, helping to raise awareness of job and research opportunities and attract future talent.
