Our QUASAR Group continues to grow. We would like to welcome Qiyuan Xu who joined the group as LIV.INNO PhD student in October 2023. His research involves refining simulated data sets, optimizing the optical fiber's parameters, and applying machine learning-based models for transverse beam distribution reconstruction.

Qiyuan graduated from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. His BEng project studied the propagation of electromagnetic waves in Bluetooth technology. In 2020, he received the MSc in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Edinburgh. His master's project focused on leveraging machine learning techniques for multi-dimension time series data pattern recognition.

Welcome!
