Business Development Manager joins QUASAR Group’s Project TEAM

The QUASAR Group would like to welcome Constantinos Astreos who joined the QUASAR’s Project T.E.A.M. as Business Development Manager.

Constantinos graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Economics and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). He worked for twelve years in the telecommunications and IT services sector with Cable & Wireless, Ericsson and other start-up companies in a wide range of roles within marketing and product management.

In 2002 Constantinos moved to the University of Manchester, initially in the School of Computer Science, where he was responsible for the development and management of joint technology transfer research projects with industrial partners. He then took on different business and research development roles where he developed managed collaborative projects, new sources of research funding and CPD training with businesses.

In 2019 Constantinos was appointed as an STFC IPS Fellow in the Department of Physics in Liverpool and joined the QUASAR Group in 2021 where he will be responsible for identifying new research funding, developing links with external organisations to form collaborative projects and manage opportunities for commercial exploitation of research generated IP in the department.
