IET visits Daresbury Laboratory

Published on

The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) visited Daresbury Laboratory last week for an extensive tour of the accelerators and facilities on site.

Participants were invited for a behind the scenes look at how the laboratory is preparing to deliver high quality accelerator components all over the world, including to the ESS in Sweden and the ELI-NP in Romania.

Tour members get a glimpse of some of the superconducting accelerating cavities being prepared for the ESS.

A close up tour of on-site particle accelerator CLARA showcased the expertise at work from around the lab, amazing the members of the IET, who had many interesting questions. The tour was followed by a discussion and further questions and answers.

They are welcome back any time!
