Peers for PhDs is a student-led project for colleagues undertaking PhDs at the University of Liverpool.

We aim to support PhD life and wellbeing by providing opportunities for postgraduate researchers from across the University to meet, share practical solutions to common challenges and support each other through the ups and downs of the PhD.

Events and Networking

The Peers for PhDs group hosts regular monthly and themed events, currently online via Zoom platform.

Some of the topics we discuss include developing our PhD support network, balancing PhD life with other commitments, managing stress and anxiety, tackling imposter syndrome and other common challenges faced by PhD students.

We also learn from each other by sharing our experiences with publishing work, teaching, and public speaking.

Get Involved

Engage with your peers to share experiences and make an impact!

Peers are encouraged to suggest topics that they would find useful throughout their PhD journey and we welcome ideas and feedback.

Whatever stage of the PhD journey you are at, whatever your mode of study or your research topic, all University of Liverpool PhDs are welcome. Attend our events and join, or follow one of our social media channels.
