Joaquín García de la Cruz

Joaquín García de la Cruz obtained his Bachelors and Masters degree in Physics at University of Granada in 2015, spending one year at KU Leuven (Belgium) with an Erasmus Exchange Scholarship. Afterwards, he worked at Pomona College (California) for two years, focussing on both computational Stellar Evolution and observational properties of Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs).

His research is focused on understanding the formation and evolution of Milky Way-like galaxies, more specifically their thick disc, from both a theoretical and an observational point of view.
